“All artists experience the unbridgeable gap which lies between the work of their hands, however successful it may be, and the dazzling perfection of the beauty glimpsed in the ardor of the creative moment: what they manage to express in their painting, their sculpting, their creating is no more than a glimmer of the splendor which flared for a moment before the eyes of their spirit.” -Pope Saint John Paul II, “Letter to Artists”

Annie Link is a multi-dimensional artist whose experience ranges from art direction, conceptual design, and illustration to physical production and implementation. Her personal work focuses on portraiture and narrative illustration and is inspired by mythology, poetry, literature, and her own travels.

Annie attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, graduating with a B.A. in Concept Art for Game Development. While at school, she studied both traditional and digital methods for illustration and design. She chose the program because of its intense focus on designing for narrative storytelling, as well as learning the traditional skills associated with realism.

Annie has been working as a freelance artist ever since, and is excited to share her skills and love of art with her students. She is currently continuing her art education by taking courses online from New Masters Academy.

In her free time, she enjoys haunting cafes and libraries, boxing, getting lost in books, exploring new places, and of course drawing and painting. Annie and her husband Brenden currently reside in Annie’s hometown of Denville.

“Beauty is a key to the mystery and a call to transcendence. It is an invitation to savor life and to dream of the future. That is why the beauty of created things can never fully satisfy. It stirs that hidden nostalgia for God which a lover of beauty like Saint Augustine could express in icomparable terms: ‘Late have I loved you, beauty so old and so new: late have I loved you!’”-Pope Saint John Paul II, “Letter to Artists”
